New songs, show, lyrics and whatnotz.

Yes, I know, it's been a hot minute. We've pretty much been laying low as we all work exhaustive schedules and haven't had much time devoted towards the band, but no worries, all shall be back on track sooner than later. I've had a few days to catch up on personal reflection and writing and with that comes lyrics to three brand new songs we have been playing on and off for the last two months. We hope to have a new batch of songs recorded come 2011, to be pressed on a 7" as our first EP. All the lyrics are still extremely rough and need some work. Titles for the three aforementioned songs will be 'Children of America', 'Ellicottville' and 'Big Daddy Bong Lung'. Keep a look out for further updates, for I am more than certain that each and every song I write will be edited four-thousand times over until I'm finally content with the product at hand.

We will be playing our first show in 2 months on January 2nd as "Banned In Buffalo". This is a cover show and rather than restrict ourselves by paying tribute to just one band, we wanted to take this opportunity in paying homage to an entire region and time frame in which the four of us have found inspiration in throughout the years. That being said, we will be playing songs from Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Black Flag, Embrace, Dag Nasty and Fugazi. This is definitely going to be a blast and I encourage all to come out.

Decency Rally Wrap Up.

Sweet fucking Jesus, I have never been more happy/proud/honored to be a part of what an incredible event last night was. Everything ran smoothly and every band was spot fucking on top of an incredible turnout. Highlights include COWORKERS, HOGLUST, EVERYTHING FALLS APART and PLATES. Props goes out to Aaron Weese from Coworkers for putting everything he did into the night. If there was any doubt that Buffalo doesn't have an excellent Hardcore Punk scene, it was put to rest with authority last night. This was easily the best set we have ever played. Between Monday's house show and last night's festival, it felt fucking spectacular to be reminded why I am still here and involved in the first place. I am so unbelievably sore and I couldn't be any more happier about it.

And now, some pictures from our set:

If interested in the rest, feel free to cruise on over HERE!

I'm sure video shall soon surface as every set was recorded.

We have nothing booked as of right now, for we intend on focusing our time on writing and recording new material. Fingers crossed on a Vile Crocodile 7" EP slated for Early 2011.

One Love,
Dave

Decency Rally Write Up in the Artvoice

Saturday, November 6

The Buffalo Decency Rally

Come one, come all! A proverbial call to arms against mediocrity, The Buffalo Decency Rally proves to be the show of all shows for the Buffalo hardcore/punk community, already a criminally under looked entity in its own right. For those of you wondering what the faster and harder side of music is like in Western New York, you won’t find a better opportunity than this Saturday (Nov 6), when 17 of Buffalo’s best descend on both floors of the Adam Mickiewicz Polish Library for a night of decent debauchery. Highlights of the evening include the return of Plates, who can be best described as Black Flag pushing early Jesus Lizard down a fight of stairs. Trystero will bring their devastatingly epic cello crust/core to the party as well, not to mention the Replacements tinged pop punk of Unwelcome Guests and the surf-soaked punk trio, MayDay! The Decency Rally will also see the first live appearance of Crutches, the new project featuring members of the now-defunct local legends, Corpus Dei. Ragtime ragamuffins Reverend Soapbox and the Rabble Rousers surely won’t disappoint and the almost prog-like hardcore punk of Coworkers will leave your head spinning along with the bass heavy noise/grind of dual female fronted, Inerds. The dry-pan naughtiness of master of ceremonies, Ben Verbeck will keep you chuckling all night. Come out this Saturday (Nov 6) and fight the good fight while hob-knobbing with the good and the great. Things kick off at 5pm sharp and will only set you back five bucks. Bring ear plugs…or don’t.

Last Minute House Show.

The wonderful gentlemen in Burning Love contacted me the other day about setting up a quick show for them as they will soon be returning back to the great white north upon playing The Fest. I said 'Fuck Yeah'. Andy Czuba said 'Why not have the show in my living room?' in which I then responded 'Fuck yeah'. Flier for The Buffalo Decency Rally

Compliments of Ian Wiedrick.

This event will showcase Buffalo's best and upcoming hardcore and punk bands.
It is definitely an honor to play amongst some of my favorite bands going around right now and to be part of such an awesome event in support of our local underground scene.
Thanks goes out to Aaron from Sonorous Gale and Coworkes for putting this all together!
Definitely check these bands out if you have a moment.

Also, my friends and current favorite band within the realm of hardcore and punk just released a single on Paper+Plastick records that you should all check out. Shit is mind blowing. You can hear a new song, entitled "Numbers" off of the aforementioned 7" upon clicking on the link below.

Thanks for looking,
Davie Crockettdile
