"Don't get caught perpetratin' the cool ones."

Many apologies for the lack of updates. This could be blamed on the following:
1.) I'm a lazy, good-for-nothing drunk.
2.) I moved and did not have my nerdbox hooked up to the internets until just recently.
3.) Bawitdabadabangdabangdiggydiggydiggysaidtheboogie, said up jump the boogy.

First and foremost, our summer was enjoyed with a slew of great shows and excessive alcohol intake. Here's a bunch of pictures and video from all of them. Enjoy, or don't.

There is no video or photos from the Decency Rally as of yet, so stay posted.

In serious news...

Last month, our friend, Tony Lorenzo, was senselessly attacked on the corner of Richmond and Bird on the upper west side. The stupid bullet found its way to his spine. Tony's recovery is coming along so well that he's already wiggling a toe (Kill Bill-style) but there is still a long way to go. On Thursday, December 1st, we're throwing a show to help raise the money to help him through his recovery. There will be raffles and bands, such as : Vile Crocodile, Andrew J Reimers Country Punk Extravaganza, Aircraft and The Merchants.

Along with that, a few bands that were around circa 2006 have all bonded to get back together one more time for yet another benefit. One of these bands being my(Dave) and Bryan's old band, Rivalry. The show is at the Mohawk Place on January 28th and will feature performances from : It Dies Today('Caitiff Choir' Lineup), Infamous(Reunion. Current - Rhinoceros, Chosen Ones, Goodbye Cruel World), xTOTHISDAYx(Reunion), Rivalry(Reunion. Current - Vile Crocodile, Andrew J Reimers Extravaganza) and BESTOWER(Buffalo brutality. Check 'em the fuck out, for real).

I'd like to take this moment to say how amazing it is that even under such tragic circumstances, we as a small community can all come together in support of one of our own. It's truly an amazing thing and something I am more than proud to be a part of. Though this city(from the outside) may be viewed as a pro sports-disappointing, freezing, economic shit-house, we have something really special going on here.

Lastly, in between both those benefits, we will be playing a house show in celebration of our dear friend, Cody's, 30th Birthday. This party will be held at Mt. Zion(corner of Elmwood and Forest in Buffalo) and will have kegs, pizza and performances from both us and Lewd Dewdz.

Thanks for tuning in.
As-Salamu Alaykum,
Vile Crocodile

Vile Crocodile EP : Lyrics and Tracklisting

We have some new bangers about ready to be recorded for y'alls. Some have been played live and others are in the works. Hopefully an EP will be ready come Summer time. The expected tracklisting is as follows:

1. Children of America
2. Beer Guts and Glory Holes
3. Setting the Bar Low
4. Burning Angel
5. College
6. Under Lock and Whiskey
7. Pre-Natal (InstruMENTAL)
8. Budweisered and Baby-Trapped

Here are the lyrics to all of the songs but two. I will update this yet again soon as I finish them.

"Children of America"
I wish I could drain my liver and lungs like a sponge,
Feed it to our sons in celebration of what their futures shall become.
We were sleeping on broken futons and fleeting with stolen shoes on.
From sending out 21 gun salutes toward all the students and teachers occupying our schools,
To standing in line like a flock of sheep, living out our government's fantasies.
Mom and dad must be so proud, now that they have a fucking trophy child to gloat about.
This is all just a cop-out; just another way for you to fucking drop out.
Baby, we've got a lot to prove.
Hollywood is going to make a movie out of you.
Home is where the dark is."

"Setting The Bar Low"
I swore I'd never write another song about friends.
Luckily, this isn't one of them.
In a new generation where shit floats and one man's trash is another man's pleasure,
And women are bruised, beaten, and re-used like thrift store leather.
While you were out rotting in front of slot machines hoping to win a new lease on a life,
No one gave a fuck about you.
Now as you parade the streets dressed in paper bags like a hidden habit,
The few that did wish they gave up too.
A sad, sad lad growing up answering sex ads only to find his dad.
In a world with so much chance,
The born businessman winds up selling filthy rags to begging rats.
How can you expect to stumble back in a home with a 'Welcome' mat that was removed long ago?
It's all just another boring story of the boy who cried woe.

"Burning Angel"
Mirror mirror, on the wall. Please remind me of my faults.
I switched my perfume today with a razor blade.
Just a few dabs on the wrist for the stench of beauty.
Mom and dad, please don't be mad my tuition turned into coke.
All the beatings and home and nights spent alone all made for the prettiest poems.
When you read this note, grab it like my throat and don't forget to strangle.
Signing off with love, your baby girl, the Burning Angel.

"College"
My work shirt's too big and I don't want to waste my time growing into it.
My face ages by days and I want want to commit the crime of knowing it.
My money is down to dimes from blowing it.
At least I've got this brand new tolerance.
Maybe I'll sell it off to girls with Quaaludes in their 'Jager-Bombs' the night their cherries were popped.
They say there's no languishing in fraternity tradition.
I heard there's no prison for the beloved campus children.
Maybe I'll pick up a football.

"Under Lock and Whiskey"
Whiskey for breakfast.
Soliciting sex in convents.
My last testament became my Christmas List.
Please pretty lips, don't dismiss my advances.
Grab my hand, let's rot with Atlantis.
Living fast, dying faster.
Only selfish fucks want to be remembered.

Bust shots at Big Ben like we got time to kill.

Wow. I don't even know exactly how to even start this off or what I could possibly say that can even express the extreme amount of gratitude and excitement I have after this past week. Basically, thank you to everyone who was a part of it. Special props go out to Joe Riverside, The Funeral Home, Pat Bolger and most importantly every single kid who came and supported Buffalo Hardcore/Punk. In the 11 years I have been involved in this 'scene' I have never been more proud or stoked to rep the name Buffalo.

Our show with Alpha and Omega, Expire and Take Offense was moved from Sugar City to the Funeral Home due to poorly executed promotion. Joe Riverside may as well be the fucking Captain America of Hardcore. Saving the scene one show at a time. We opened up and played for pretty much the first time since taking some time off after The Decency Rally in November. I think we played fairly well. I'm not particularly into metallic hardcore, and though both Alpha and Omega and Take Offense aren't really my digs, the both were fucking explosive live and really impressed me. I'd have to say Expire stole the show, however. This was my first time seeing/hearing them and I was really fucking into it. All in all, the show was a total success/major rager and I couldn't have been more pleased.

Come Saturday, we were right back to the Funeral Home to celebrate the release of Lieutenant's LP. I went into this show extremely fucking stressed and nervous as it has been a show I've been super fucking stoked on playing for months now as I absolutely love every single band on the bill and felt extremely privileged/honored to have been asked to be a part of it. Our drummer, Jason was out of town and we nearly had to cancel until our good buddy Derrick, from Sons of Azrael and Hellcannon stepped up to the plate and literally learned our demo just a few short hours before the show. Other than a couple minuscule fuck-ups, I couldn't have been happier with the result. We pulled it together pretty well considering everything and I definitely owe Derrick many-o-beers for helping us out on such short notice. Resist Control and Hoglust fucking destroyed the place as per usual and Lieutenant we beyond ridiculous. I love nothing more than playing great local shows with some of my favorite bands and people. I have bruises all over my body and I couldn't be more content with it. Also, pick up the Lieutenant LP. Seriously. Shit is fucking mind-blowing.

Rivalry 2005 - 2006.

6 years or ago, Bryan and I were part of a hardcore/punk outfit by the name of Rivalry. This is not to be confused with the ultra boring band of the same name from Upstate New York that started months following our inception. In the year or so we were a band, we played a fuck-load of shows and recorded two demos. Seeing as I had to upload these for a buddy of mine today, I felt compelled to share it with y'alls as well. Being 19-years-old was awesome. It was definitely a really memorable part of my life. We later went on to form and play in such bands as Devil's Advocate, Boxer Rocket, Like You, Rhinoceros, The March, Infamous, Dirty Ways, Rooftops, Vessel and Into Ruin. Feel free to check those out as well if you find yourself interested. Enjoy.

Demo 1: Recorded in June 2005 at Chameleon West Studios

2. Up The Tailpipe

Demo 2: Recorded in November 2005 at Echo Base Studios
